Troop Volunteer Opportunities

This year, we’d love for all of our troop families to contribute in some way to help make the year a successful and fun experience for our girls. There are many different ways to get involved, and we want to find opportunities that work well with each family’s interests, skills, and availability.

Please select the areas you’d be interested in helping with. We’ll review everyone’s responses and reach out individually to connect you with a volunteer opportunity that feels like a good fit!

Treasurer

30–60 min monthly commitment (remotely)

Logging items in a spreadsheet, keeping track of transactions and submitting this information at the end of the year to council. A fillable sheet is provided by the council. If records are kept, this only takes about 5 minutes per transaction.

Cookie Support

January & February only

Tracking orders, supporting Troop Leader, attending cookie council meetings, helping lead badge meeting in January, etc. (Only during the months of January & February).

Lead One Meeting This Season

1 meeting during the season

We preselected badges along with a month. You and your girl scout will be able to choose a month that works for your schedule and interests you. You will be able to plan that meeting and lead the girls through it along with your girl scout. You DO NOT need to get a Troop Helper membership if this is the only time you will be volunteering. You will have full support during planning and the day of your meeting!

Camping Committee

3–4 parent volunteers

This was such a highlight of the Girl Scout experience last year and we would love to get a group of parents together to plan the experience this year! Location, date, and details will be up to the camping committee. This will be a very exciting event to plan!

Have another idea or skill you’d like to share with the troop?

Crafts, STEM activities, outdoor skills, first aid, photography, driving, organization, etc.

Meeting Snack Schedule

Something that worked really well for our troop last year was having a different family provide snacks each meeting. We’d love to continue this tradition! 🍎🍪
